As a Therapeutic Dining Group Technician, you'll play an integral role in supporting rehabilitation therapists and delivering exceptional patient care.
Encompass Health Altoona is currently seeking a PRN/Pool status Therapeutic Dining Group Technician.
Our TDG technicians attend to our patients in our dining room. It is their goal to optimize patient nutrition, independence, and overall wellbeing.
Duties include, and are not limited to the following:
- Transport patients in wheelchairs to/from the dining room and patient room.
- Maneuver wheelchairs in tight spaces.
- Reaching and bending to secure wheelchair leg rests and brakes.
- Walk a maximum of 400 feet, several times a shift, and with no assistive device.
- Push tray cart to and from the dining rooms/kitchen.
- Lift and place dining trays on cart and dining tables, with trays weighing an average of 10 pounds.
- Attend to patient needs throughout mealtimes.
- Replenish supplies to supply carts.
- Clean work area.
Position Requirements:
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Related experience preferred.
